DOATAP Hosts the 33rd Annual Meeting of the ENIC-NARIC Networks

From 24 to 26 May 2026, DOATAP is hosting the 33rd Annual Joint Meeting of the ENIC and NARIC Networks, one of the most important international meetings in the field of academic recognition. The meeting is organised in cooperation with the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.

For three days, Athens will bring together 140 participants from 45 academic recognition centres (ENIC-NARIC) across 43 countries in Europe and North America, along with representatives of the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.

The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, 24 May 2026, at 17:30, at the Acropolis Museum, in the “Dimitrios Pandermalis” Auditorium, and will feature brief addresses by the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki, and the President of the Board of Directors of DOATAP, Professor Orestis Kalogirou.

Held annually, the meeting is a key forum for experts in the recognition of academic qualifications, providing an opportunity to exchange expertise and good practices. This year’s programme will include 12 thematic workshops focusing on current challenges and developments in academic recognition, including the development of a common framework for the automatic recognition of qualifications, the use of Artificial Intelligence, and the creation of an integrated European digital ecosystem for academic recognition. The main sessions of the meeting will take place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).

The ENIC-NARIC Networks provide a framework for continuous cooperation among national academic recognition and information centres in a total of 55 countries across Europe and North America, operating in accordance with the principles of the Lisbon Recognition Convention.
